Category: Fabric

Durable, water-resistant, and dreamy to sew, waxed canvas is our favorite fabric for bag making. This particular waxed canvas has a dry waxed finish with a firm handle and develops a distressed, worn-in appearance.

Sold by the ½ yard. (1 Quantity = ½ yard)

NOTE: Orders of one yard or more will be folded, resulting in creases, unless the surcharge for rolled fabric is added.

Eva ★★★★★

The dry wax finish means no greasy residue on my hands or machine, which I didn't expect from waxed canvas. It's firm enough to hold a tote's shape but still fed through my machine without any trouble. Already planning a second bag with the leftovers.

William ★★★★★

I was worried the 12 oz would be too stiff to sew through, but my machine handled it fine with a denim needle. The water resistance is the real win though, I spilled coffee on the tote I made and it just beaded right off.

Michael ★★★★★

This yardage came in perfectly rolled and the waxed surface has that dry, matte feel that's so easy to mark and cut without slipping. I’ve already stitched up a tote and the firm handle makes crisp seams that hold their shape beautifully.
