Category: Fabric

Durable, water-resistant, and dreamy to sew, waxed canvas is our favorite fabric for bag making. This particular waxed canvas has a dry waxed finish with a firm handle and develops a distressed, worn-in appearance.

Sold by the ½ yard. (1 Quantity = ½ yard)

NOTE: Orders of one yard or more will be folded, resulting in creases, unless the surcharge for rolled fabric is added.

Amelia S. ★★★★★

I sewed a tote out of this and the firm handle made it so easy to hold crisp folds at the seams. The water resistance is a real bonus since I don't have to worry about rain soaking through. Already eyeing a second color for a dopp kit.

The dry waxed finish means no greasy residue on my machine, which I was worried about with waxed canvas. It sewed through four layers of bag straps without a single skipped stitch, and it's already starting to show that worn look on the corners.

The firm handle took a minute to get used to, but it holds creases beautifully when I'm pressing seams on tote gussets. Water beads right off the surface, which I tested by accident with a spilled coffee.
