The bakelite mallet has a satisfying heft to it that lands cleanly on the drive punch, and switching between the two tools feels seamless. I’ve been able to knock out a whole row of holes in thick leather without the board shifting once, which is more than I can say for my old setup.

The mallet has just the right weight for clean strikes, and the poly board protects my table from every slip-up. I punched through two layers of leather in one go and the holes came out perfectly crisp every time.

The poly cutting board is a nice dense surface that doesn't dull my blades, though the mallet's handle could be a bit more ergonomic. Everything else works exactly as expected for my leather projects.
