12 oz Cobalt Waxed Canvas

This cobalt waxed canvas has a firm hand that holds shape beautifully — I made a tote and the sides don't slump at all. The water resistance is a nice bonus, and I can already see the distressed look starting to develop where I folded the top.

I was worried the firm handle would be hard to sew through, but my machine went through it like butter. The 12 oz weight holds its shape so well that my tote stands up on its own even when it's empty. That dry waxed finish is exactly the look I wanted.

The dry waxed finish gives it that perfect firm handle for structured bags—my straps hold their shape beautifully. Cut a test piece for a tote and the water beaded right off, which is exactly what I needed. Already planning my next order in this cobalt.
